NFF Welcomes ValueJet As Official Airline Partner.

Fast-growing Nigerian airline, ValueJet, has signed a partnership agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to become the official airline of the federation and the national teams.

During a ceremony held at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, the Chief Executive Officer and Accountable Manager of ValueJet, Capt. Omololu Majekodunmi, expressed the airline’s delight in partnering with Nigerian football. He emphasized ValueJet’s commitment to ensuring the comfortable and timely transportation of national teams for major international matches and tournaments.

“We are excited about this historic partnership. Nigerian football has a rich history and a passionate fan base. By collaborating with the NFF, we aim to inject fresh energy into the game and provide seamless travel solutions for our national teams as they compete locally and internationally,” Majekodunmi stated.

“This partnership highlights our dedication to supporting sports development in Nigeria. It encompasses various collaborative initiatives designed to enhance football growth across the country, from grassroots programs to high-profile competitions.”

Sharif Inuwa, Chairman of the NFF Marketing and Sponsorship Committee, represented NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau at the event. He expressed the federation’s pleasure in formally associating with ValueJet, noting that the airline had already been providing services to the Super Eagles for over a year.

“I am delighted that we have officially solidified this partnership. ValueJet has been offering excellent services to the Super Eagles, flying them to away matches for about 16 months. Players and officials have praised their efficiency, and the NFF is pleased that this collaboration has now been formalized,” Inuwa said.

“Our organizations share the vision that Nigerian football should reach greater heights both locally and globally. ValueJet is committed to supporting the NFF in elevating the game.”

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, also lauded ValueJet for its professionalism, diligence, and integrity, particularly during the Super Eagles’ ordeal in Libya in October 2024. The team was held hostage by Libyan authorities during a 2025 AFCON qualifying match, and ValueJet played a crucial role in managing the situation efficiently.
