Nigeria Bolsters Global Economic Partnerships as Trade Minister Engages Diplomats from Four Countries

Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening international trade and investment relations as the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, held high-level talks with diplomats from the Netherlands, Russia, Mexico, and China in Abuja.

The strategic meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in trade, infrastructure development, technology, and investment opportunities. Dr. Oduwole emphasized the Federal Government’s dedication, under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, to fostering economic growth through mutually beneficial partnerships that create jobs, drive innovation, and promote shared prosperity.

She noted that Nigeria is actively positioning itself as a competitive player in the global market, leveraging its vast human and natural resources to attract foreign direct investment. The discussions also laid the groundwork for follow-up consultations that will guide future bilateral and multilateral initiatives.

According to the Trade Minister, the engagements mark another step in Nigeria’s pursuit of inclusive growth, sustainable economic welfare, and strategic global alliances that can boost trade volumes and strengthen the country’s economic resilience.
