The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has applauded the extraordinary feat of Assistant Comptroller Julius Ogboru, who successfully completed a motorbike journey from Nigeria to Belgium, showcasing resilience, endurance, and national pride.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the Service described Ogboru’s adventure as a testament to courage and determination, noting that it reflects the strength of Nigerian spirit and the discipline instilled in officers of the Customs Service.

The Assistant Comptroller embarked on the long-distance ride covering several countries across Africa and Europe, before safely arriving in Belgium. His achievement, the NCS said, is not only remarkable but also symbolic of Nigeria’s global visibility in diverse pursuits outside official duties.

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, commended Ogboru for the rare accomplishment, adding that such feats inspire younger officers and Nigerians at large to pursue excellence in every field of endeavor.

The Service also hinted at plans to formally recognize Ogboru for his outstanding journey, which it said has brought honor to the institution and to Nigeria.
