Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Announces 2025 U-12 National Hopes Week

The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) has confirmed the dates for the 2025 U-12 National Hopes Week, scheduled to take place from April 2 to 8 at the Training Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The National Hopes Week aims to identify and nurture young table tennis talents from across the country. The best U-12 players from various states and regions will converge in Lagos for an intensive training camp, where they will be guided by selected ITTF-certified coaches.

The event provides a platform for young players to showcase their skills, gain valuable experience, and develop their game in preparation for continental and World Hopes Week competitions.

According to NTTF President Ishaku Tikon, “The federation is committed to nurturing the next generation of table tennis stars and promoting the sport at the grassroots level, with support from the ITTF and ITTF-Africa.”

Tikon expressed his appreciation to the ITTF and ITTF-Africa for their commitment to the development of table tennis in Nigeria, saying, “We are optimistic that platforms like this will help more talented players, both female and male, to become better versions of themselves and eventually make the country proud on the international stage.”
