Abuja, Nigeria – June 12, 2025
Nigeria has secured the hosting rights for the prestigious 2026 Africa Public Relations Conference, a continental gathering of communication professionals, scholars, and stakeholders across the public relations industry.
The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the 2025 edition held in Kigali, Rwanda, where Nigeria emerged as the next destination following a competitive bidding process led by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, expressed gratitude to the African Public Relations Association (APRA) for the confidence reposed in Nigeria, assuring that the country will deliver a world-class conference that promotes knowledge exchange, professional development, and continental collaboration.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase Nigeria’s capacity, cultural richness, and intellectual leadership in the evolving field of public relations,” Dr. Neliaku stated.
The 2026 conference is expected to attract over 2,000 participants from across Africa and beyond, with sessions focusing on strategic communication, digital engagement, nation branding, and crisis management in the African context.
Preparations are already underway to ensure seamless logistics, security, and a rich cultural experience for delegates.
