The Minister of Education this week received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nigeria, His Excellency Salem Saeed Musabbeh Al Mahyoubi Al Shamsi, on a courtesy visit that marked a significant stride toward deepening bilateral relations between both nations.
During the high-level engagement, discussions focused on expanding partnerships between the education ministries of Nigeria and the UAE, with particular emphasis on the UAE’s groundbreaking Digital School initiative. The program, which is designed to equip teachers with innovative tools and training, seeks to enhance teaching standards and create enriched learning experiences for students across Nigeria.
The Minister described the visit as “a vital step toward unlocking transformative opportunities in digital education,” stressing the importance of empowering educators as a catalyst for national development.
“This collaboration is not just about infrastructure or policy—it’s about giving both our teachers and learners the 21st-century tools they need to thrive,” the Minister noted.
Ambassador Al Shamsi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to educational advancement in Nigeria and expressed optimism that this joint effort would foster long-term knowledge exchange, technology integration, and educational innovation.
