Nigerians must prioritize basic needs over their wants; Muslim cleric warns

Nigerians have been cautioned against misplacement of priorities which is the bedrock of misappropriation of their earnings that have made many Nigerians ran into debts across bank platforms and from neighbors as well as cooperative societies without being able to offset such debts.

Imam Abdul Ganiy Raji , the national dawah officer of NASFAT made this assertion today while delivering sermon at jumat service.

The cleric told the congregation that Muslims must live a life prioritizing their needs over wants for others to emulate such legacy as enjoined by the holy prophet Muhammad ( pbuh).

The scholar highlighted human basic needs from the provision of food, water,clothing’s shelter as well as health care being the essentials of good life.

He admonished Nigerian Muslim to always be mindful of their means of livelihood before embarking on any projects or programs to avoid failure of such programs.

He emphasized that extravagant life is a major thing that has made many Nigerians fall victim of going bankruptcy and suffer greatly at old age especially men .

He therefore encouraged men to always get prepared for their old age to avoid being left with nothing than to become a dependent on children, family or friends to worsen the situation depending on community and religious societies.

Conclusively he cautioned Nigerians to refrain from living fake lives and make savings from their earnings no matter how the stipends been paid at month ends especially people that depends fully on salary or wages.
