NASFAT Cleric Urges Muslims to Champion Peace in All Spheres of Life

Imam Daud Olanrewaju, Assistant National Dawah Officer of NASFAT Worldwide, has called on Muslims to actively promote peace within families, workplaces, communities, and the nation at large. The cleric delivered this message during his Jumat sermon at the Aseese NASFAT Islamic Center on Friday, July 25, 2025.

Imam Olanrewaju emphasized that peaceful coexistence requires tolerance, self-discipline, and the rejection of egocentrism and ethnocentrism. “Islam is a universal religion meant for all nations. To be effective peacemakers, we must cultivate extraordinary patience, intelligence, and serve as ambassadors of peace day and night,” he stated.

The cleric supported his admonition with references from the Quran and Hadith, highlighting the divine rewards for peacemakers. “Allah in His infinite mercy loves those who foster harmony among people of different faiths. Any gathering built on peace attracts God’s favor unless that peace is broken,” he explained.

Imam Olanrewaju concluded by charging all Muslims to become agents of peace wherever they find themselves. The sermon resonated with worshippers at the well-attended Jumat service, reinforcing NASFAT’s commitment to promoting religious harmony and social cohesion.

The Aseese NASFAT Islamic Center continues to serve as a hub for spiritual growth and community development, with regular programs aimed at nurturing moral values among its members.
