The Governing Board of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has approved the promotion of 243 staff members, including the elevation of nine Deputy Directors to the rank of Director.
The announcement was contained in an official statement released on Sunday by the Head of Public Relations, Osagie Edward, a Deputy Director at the Agency.
According to the statement, the promotions also include 30 Assistant Directors elevated to Deputy Directors, 35 Chiefs promoted to Assistant Directors, and 169 other staff members moved up one grade level.
The nine newly promoted Directors are: Mrs. Moji Jimoh (Coordinator, Abuja Liaison Office); Dr. Odunayo Ani (Director of Internal Audit); Mrs. Nneka Obianyor (Special Adviser to the DG); Mrs. Biodun Fatade (Director of Procurement); Dr. Oma Ofodile; Ms. Gloria Anyasodo; Mr. Abdulahi Yelwa; Mr. Umar Buba; and Mr. Umar Ibrahim Sidi.
NIMASA’s Director-General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, congratulated the beneficiaries, describing the exercise as a demonstration of the Agency’s commitment to merit-based career progression and staff welfare.
