The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to creating a productive work environment that fosters continuous capacity development and professional excellence.
Speaking during a strategic staff retreat, Mobereola highlighted the agency’s ambitious vision to become the leading maritime administration in Africa, stating that this can only be realised through the unwavering commitment and dedication of NIMASA staff.
“We will continue to provide an enabling environment that supports capacity development continuously. Our vision to become the leading maritime administration in Africa, advancing Nigeria’s global maritime goals, is only achievable when staff members remain dedicated to their duties,” he said.
The Director-General also urged employees to embody the agency’s core values, noting that they serve as a guiding framework for maintaining performance, discipline, and professionalism across all operational levels.
Echoing the DG’s remarks, the Executive Director of Operations, Fatai Adeyemi, described the retreat as a timely and strategic initiative for knowledge sharing, team building, and alignment with the agency’s long-term objectives. He expressed his full support for transparent and open communication within the agency.
“This retreat marks a new chapter in how we operate. It provides an opportunity to share experiences, strengthen our teamwork, and recommit to our shared mission of delivering maritime excellence,” Adeyemi stated.
The forum served as a platform for participants to engage in collaborative discussions, reaffirm strategic priorities, and foster unity in pursuit of Nigeria’s maritime development goals.
