The Group Chief Operating Officer of NNPC Ltd., Mr. Roland Ewubare, alongside the Executive Vice President of Downstream, Mr. Mumuni Dagazau, led a high-level delegation on a working visit and facility tour of the Warri Refining and Petrochemicals Company Limited (WRPC) in Delta State.
The visit provided an opportunity for senior management to assess ongoing operations, review production capabilities, and discuss strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and output at the refinery. WRPC is a key asset in Nigeria’s refining sector, playing a critical role in meeting the nation’s petroleum product demands.
During the tour, the delegation engaged with WRPC executives and technical teams to evaluate the current state of infrastructure and identify areas requiring upgrades or interventions. The visit aligns with NNPC’s broader mandate to optimize the performance of its downstream assets and support Nigeria’s energy security objectives.
Mr. Ewubare and Mr. Dagazau reiterated their commitment to driving operational excellence and leveraging investments to boost local refining capacity, reduce import dependency, and ensure consistent supply of refined petroleum products to the Nigerian market.
