Abuja, June 2, 2025 — Earlier today, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., received Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, at the NNPC Towers in Abuja.
The high-level meeting focused on strengthening partnerships between the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and the Nigerian Air Force to combat the persistent challenges of oil and gas installation vandalism and crude oil theft.
Both leaders emphasized the critical need for coordinated efforts to enhance security measures, protect vital energy infrastructure, and ensure Nigeria’s energy security.
The collaboration aims to leverage the strategic capabilities of the Air Force alongside NNPC’s operational resources to effectively curb pipeline sabotage and theft, which have significantly impacted national revenue and energy stability.
The meeting underscores the federal government’s commitment to securing the oil and gas sector as a vital pillar of the country’s economy.
