Abuja, Nigeria — August 14, 2025 | The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched its third-quarter nationwide sensitisation campaign, a two-week civic reawakening exercise designed to boost public understanding of government policies, strengthen national values, and sharpen citizens’ preparedness for security and disaster challenges.
Unveiling the programme at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja, Director General Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu described the initiative as a “coordinated national reawakening” that will reach all 774 local government areas, covering markets, schools, motor parks, religious centres, and community halls to ensure grassroots impact.
The campaign will feature Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials in English and major Nigerian languages, with daily radio, television, and social media broadcasts. NOA is also establishing toll-free lines and other feedback channels to capture citizens’ opinions and measure the programme’s effectiveness.
Issa-Onilu urged the media, traditional and religious leaders, civil society, and youth groups to partner in the nationwide effort, stressing that the project will not only promote unity and national identity but also enhance Nigeria’s collective readiness for emergencies.
