Nusuk Majlis Engages Turkish Officials and Travel Agencies to Deepen Umrah Pilgrimage Ties

In a strategic move to deepen bilateral ties and enhance the experience of Umrah pilgrims, the Nusuk Majlis, a leading body under the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, held high-level talks with senior government officials and top travel agencies in the Republic of Türkiye during the recent visit of the Minister of Hajj and Umrah to the Eurasian nation.

The high-profile engagement was aimed at introducing and strengthening the adoption of the Nusuk platform, a digital gateway developed to streamline and enrich the pilgrimage journey for Umrah visitors from across the globe, including Turkish nationals. The meeting served as a platform to demonstrate the range of services the Nusuk platform offers, from visa facilitation and travel planning to lodging and spiritual guidance tailored for pilgrims.

During the deliberations, both parties expressed their commitment to collaborative efforts that would further improve accessibility and service delivery for Turkish Muslims aspiring to embark on the sacred journey to the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah. Key areas of interest included integrating local Turkish travel agencies with Nusuk’s digital infrastructure, ensuring real-time support, and simplifying the booking process for pilgrims.

Officials from Türkiye expressed admiration for Saudi Arabia’s evolving digital transformation in religious tourism, commending the Kingdom’s vision under the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, which seeks to diversify the economy while enhancing the spiritual and logistical experience of pilgrims. The introduction of platforms like Nusuk, backed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, reflects this forward-thinking approach, combining tradition with technology.

The Saudi delegation, led by the Minister, emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in facilitating seamless pilgrim experiences. They noted that Türkiye remains one of the key contributors to Umrah pilgrimages annually, and thus, stronger coordination between both countries’ stakeholders would only yield better outcomes for millions of worshippers.

This meeting also underscores the growing influence of Nusuk as a central hub for all pilgrimage-related needs. With over 25 million Muslims globally expected to perform Umrah in the coming years, such partnerships are essential in meeting rising demand while ensuring that the journey remains spiritually fulfilling and logistically convenient.

The engagement is part of a broader diplomatic and religious outreach by the Saudi authorities to strengthen international collaboration and improve the overall efficiency and accessibility of Hajj and Umrah services. The talks in Türkiye follow similar engagements in other key Muslim-majority countries and are a reflection of the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to serving the guests of Allah with excellence, innovation, and compassion.
