NYSC Deploys 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Corps Members, Issues Night Travel Ban for Safety

The National Youth Service Corps has commenced deployment of 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I prospective corps members, releasing postings to orientation camps nationwide. This follows the pre-camp physical verification of foreign-trained graduates conducted between April 13-17, 2025, as outlined in the official mobilization timetable. The scheme simultaneously issued stringent travel advisories, prohibiting night journeys to camps and redirecting some Lagos-bound PCMs to Ekiti, Ondo, and Osun States’ facilities due to logistical constraints – a protocol previously implemented during 2024 Batch ‘C’ deployments.

Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu’s administration reinforces these measures alongside the newly implemented ₦77,000 monthly allowance, which took effect in March 2025 after budgetary approvals. The deployment process requires PCMs to print mandatory addendums for camp registration, with the NYSC emphasizing document authenticity checks during physical verification. Recent advisories from scheme officials, including Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed’s January 2025 warning against unauthorized travel, underscore heightened safety protocols for corps members nationwide.

The 2025 mobilization cycle introduces enhanced welfare packages and stricter compliance measures, with career experts urging PCMs to prioritize skill acquisition over allowance fixation. Batch ‘A’ beneficiaries must report to assigned camps with complete documentation, including academic credentials and medical reports, while avoiding overnight travels that compromise personal security. The NYSC maintains its commitment to seamless orientation exercises despite operational challenges, redirecting FCT-bound PCMs to Nasarawa and Kaduna camps when necessary.
