Ogun 2025 Hajj Pilgrims Explore Historic Sites in Medina Ahead of Spiritual Journey

Medina, Saudi Arabia — The Ogun State 2025 Hajj pilgrims have embarked on a meaningful visit to some of the most significant historical sites in Medina as part of their spiritual preparations ahead of the forthcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

During the visit, the pilgrims toured landmarks including the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi), the Quba Mosque—the first mosque in Islamic history—and the Uhud Mountain, the site of the famous Battle of Uhud. The experience provided the pilgrims with a deeper understanding of Islamic history and the rich religious heritage that shapes their faith.

The pilgrimage team, led by the Ogun State Hajj Coordinator, expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to connect with these sacred locations, which are integral to the Hajj rites. The visit has also been a moment of reflection and spiritual rejuvenation, helping pilgrims prepare mentally and emotionally for the sacred journey ahead.

The Ogun State Government, through its Hajj Commission, continues to ensure that all pilgrims receive adequate support and guidance during their time in Saudi Arabia, prioritizing their safety, comfort, and religious fulfillment.

As the pilgrims prepare to proceed to Mecca for the main rituals of the Hajj, their visit to Medina stands as a significant milestone in their spiritual journey, reinforcing the bonds of faith and community among the Ogun faithful.
