The Ogun State Government has unveiled plans to construct a ₦2 billion ultra-modern auditorium and accompanying infrastructure projects at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made this known during an official visit to the institution on Tuesday, where he reiterated his administration’s commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure across the state.
The new auditorium, expected to be a state-of-the-art facility, will host academic, cultural, and administrative events. The governor also announced the construction of new internal roads, drainage systems, and improved campus lighting, all aimed at boosting learning and creating a conducive academic environment.
“This investment is part of our holistic approach to reposition Ogun’s tertiary institutions. We want our schools to not only produce future leaders but to be symbols of excellence,” Governor Abiodun stated.
The project is scheduled to commence later this year and is in line with the government’s broader infrastructure development agenda, which includes upgrades across educational, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
The announcement has been widely welcomed by the MAPOLY community, who hailed it as a long-awaited intervention in the institution’s development.
