The Ogun State Government has launched a capacity-building workshop aimed at improving the skills and professionalism of drivers across various government ministries and agencies in the state.
The workshop, which began on June 3, 2025, at the Green Legacy Resort in Abeokuta, is designed to equip drivers with defensive driving techniques, knowledge of traffic regulations, and emergency response skills. The initiative underscores the state government’s commitment to enhancing road safety and efficient service delivery.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, in his remarks during the event, emphasized the importance of continuous training for drivers, stating that investing in their development is critical to ensuring safer roads and better transportation services.
Facilitated by experts from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other relevant agencies, the program combines theoretical and practical sessions, with participants set to receive certification upon successful completion.
This workshop is part of broader capacity-building efforts by the Ogun State Government to strengthen public service and improve workforce efficiency across the state.
