Ogun State Police Investigate Death of Pregnant Woman –

In a tragic turn of events, the Ogun State Police Command has begun an investigation into the sudden death of 21-year-old Tosin Lawal, a heavily pregnant woman in Ilaro. Lawal, who was nine months pregnant, passed away on Monday after experiencing severe heart palpitations despite having no prior health issues.

According to the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, Lawal’s husband, Akeem, rushed her to the Ore-Ofe Specialist Hospital early Monday morning after she complained of her heart beating rapidly. Sadly, she was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital around 3:30 p.m.

In a statement, the police advised Akeem to take Lawal’s remains to the State Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy. Coroner forms have been submitted to facilitate further investigation into the cause of death.

This incident is not the only unexplained death recently reported in the area. On March 6, a 32-year-old man, Isaac Omoleye, was found dead in a residence opposite the Federal Polytechnic in Ilaro. Preliminary reports indicate no signs of foul play.

Moreover, a 62-year-old hotel attendant, Abel Johnson, was found dead in his room at the De-Lay Classic Hotel in Kajola Village, near Obafe Town, Ogun State. Johnson, who was last seen in good health on the morning of March 6, failed to report for duty the following day, raising concern.

These incidents have raised alarms in Ogun State as the police continue their investigations to uncover the causes behind these untimely deaths.
