Abeokuta – Patience Okon-George and Samson Nathaniel have emerged as the favourites to claim the women’s and men’s 400m titles respectively at the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF).
Okon-George, representing Cross River State, has shown impressive form this season, recently clocking a personal best of 52.67 seconds at the MTN CHAMPS Continental Relays in Lagos. Her consistent performances and experience make her a strong candidate for the gold medal in the women’s 400m event.
On the men’s side, Samson Nathaniel, a former national champion, also delivered a commanding performance with a winning time of 46.71 seconds at the same meet. His recent form positions him as a key favourite to take the men’s 400m crown at the festival.
Both athletes will look to build on their recent successes and deliver top performances as the National Sports Festival continues in Abeokuta.
