ABUJA — The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has reaffirmed the Commission’s unwavering commitment to recovering funds lost by Nigerians to the controversial CBEX investment scheme.
Speaking through the EFCC’s official platform, the Chairman noted that “The Eagle is working relentlessly to ensure victims of the CBEX scam get justice and their hard-earned money back.” He added that investigations are in advanced stages, and efforts are ongoing to trace and recover diverted funds through both local and international channels.
CBEX had promised high-yield returns to investors but failed to deliver, leaving thousands of Nigerians defrauded. The EFCC has since launched a full-scale probe into the scheme, including freezing related accounts and interrogating key promoters.
Olukoyede urged affected individuals to remain patient and cooperative, assuring that the Commission would leave no stone unturned in ensuring justice is served and financial restitution is achieved.
