The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s proposed Forest Guard security initiative, describing it as a pivotal move towards enhancing national security and fostering economic stability.
Oba Ogunwusi expressed his commendation during a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Sunday, June 8. Following the meeting, the Ooni conveyed his optimism about the administration’s commitment to addressing security challenges. He emphasized that the establishment of the Forest Guard system represents a strategic approach to fortify both northern and southern regions of Nigeria by intensifying forest surveillance and combating criminal activities.
