Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has addressed the ongoing speculation about his potential move to Serie A giants Juventus, amidst his stellar performances during a loan spell at Galatasaray from Napoli. Osimhen’s impressive goal-scoring form in Turkey has caught the attention of several top European clubs, with Juventus, Real Madrid, and Manchester United all reportedly keeping an eye on the 24-year-old forward.
Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb on Friday, Osimhen responded to the rumours, expressing that while such speculations are a part of the game, he prefers to stay focused on the present. “There are always rumours about me, but I live in the moment. Now I’m enjoying all this. The fans have supported me in an incredible way. Not only me, but also my teammates and my family. The best decision for everyone will be made. But Galatasaray will always remain in my heart,” Osimhen said.
His words reflect his appreciation for the support he has received from the Galatasaray faithful and his deep connection with the club, despite the swirling transfer rumours.
On the field, Osimhen’s remarkable goal-scoring exploits continue. His 17th goal of 2025 came in a match against Samsunspor on Friday, where his clinical finish helped Galatasaray maintain their strong position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig. This goal saw the Nigerian international join Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres in a three-way tie for third place among Europe’s top goal-scorers this calendar year.
Osimhen’s 17 goals in 2025 have placed him ahead of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, who has 14, and Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy, who has 13. Only Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele, with 24 goals, and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, with 19, have netted more this year.
Osimhen’s recent goal came in a crucial match for Galatasaray, as they aimed to extend their three-point lead at the top of the league following a tough derby defeat to Besiktas. His continued scoring form is a key factor in Galatasaray’s quest to secure the Turkish league title, adding further weight to the speculation surrounding his future. However, as the striker himself affirms, Galatasaray will always hold a special place in his heart regardless of where his career takes him next.
