The Governor of Oyo State on Wednesday received Muslim leaders from across the state who paid him a courtesy visit following the Eid prayers, as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Welcoming the delegation at the Government House, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the visit and commended the peaceful coexistence among residents of Oyo State regardless of religious affiliations.
“I am delighted to receive our respected Muslim leaders today. This visit is a strong symbol of unity, and I must commend the people of Oyo State for living in peace and harmony despite our religious differences,” he said.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting interfaith harmony and ensuring an inclusive environment where all citizens can thrive.
He concluded by extending warm Eid greetings to all Muslims in the state and across the country.
“Eid Mubarak to all. May this season bring peace, blessings, and continued unity to our dear state and nation,” he added.
