Oyo State Pilgrims Undergo Screening by Mashariq Al Dhahabia to Verify Nusuk Card for Hajj Services

In preparation for the core rites of Hajj 2025, pilgrims from Oyo State, Nigeria, are currently undergoing a screening exercise conducted by Mashariq Al Dhahabia, one of the accredited Hajj service providers in Saudi Arabia.

The screening, which is part of standard protocol for ensuring smooth and secure pilgrimage logistics, is aimed at verifying each pilgrim’s Nusuk card—the official digital permit issued by Saudi authorities that grants access to key holy sites during the pilgrimage, including Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

The verification process ensures that all pilgrims are registered, have valid documentation, and are eligible for the services and movements coordinated by Mashariq. Officials from the Oyo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board are collaborating with Mashariq to facilitate the orderly processing of the state’s pilgrims, ensuring compliance with Saudi Hajj guidelines.

A representative of Mashariq Al Dhahabia emphasized the importance of the Nusuk card as a mandatory requirement for movement and services throughout the Hajj season.

“The screening is to ensure no pilgrim is left behind, and that all are properly accounted for ahead of movement to Mina,” the official said.

Oyo State officials have urged all pilgrims to fully cooperate and maintain discipline throughout the exercise, reiterating that the safety, welfare, and spiritual fulfillment of all pilgrims remain their top priority.

The screening is ongoing and expected to be completed ahead of the official movement to Mina, which marks the beginning of the core Hajj rituals.
