President Tinubu Commissions Mabushi Bus and Taxi Terminal in Abuja

Abuja, Nigeria – June 18, 2025
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially commissioned the newly completed Mabushi Bus and Taxi Terminal in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), a landmark step in his administration’s commitment to enhancing urban transportation and infrastructure development.

The state-of-the-art terminal, located in the Mabushi district of Abuja, is designed to serve as a central hub for both intra-city buses and taxi services, easing congestion and improving public mobility across the capital city.

While commissioning the project, President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s resolve to provide modern and efficient transport systems across Nigeria. He emphasized that such infrastructure is crucial for economic productivity, environmental sustainability, and improving the daily lives of citizens.

“Transportation is the backbone of any thriving economy. With this terminal, we are providing a safe, organized, and reliable means for residents to commute and for businesses to flourish,” the President stated.

The terminal features modern amenities including waiting lounges, ticketing booths, restrooms, loading bays, security systems, and provisions for digital payment platforms, aligning with global standards.

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, who accompanied the President to the ceremony, described the project as part of a broader plan to transform Abuja into a model city with efficient infrastructure and enhanced public services.
