Presidential Aide Urges Youth to Trust Tinubu’s Government –

A senior presidential advisor on citizenship and leadership has called upon Nigeria’s young people to maintain their belief in President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The advisor, Rinsola Abiola, emphasized that the government prioritizes the concerns and interests of the youth.

Speaking at a Ramadan event in Abeokuta, Ogun State, organized by her foundation, Abiola asserted that President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to young people, both during his campaign and in his actions since taking office. She highlighted the government’s dedication to creating opportunities for youth and ensuring their participation in decision-making processes.

Abiola pointed to the recently established National Youth Conference, of which she is a member, as evidence of the president’s commitment to engaging young Nigerians in governance. She stressed the inclusive nature of the conference committee, which includes representatives from civil society organizations and individuals from various backgrounds.

“I urge you to maintain faith in this administration and trust that we, as youth representatives within it, are aware of the concerns of young people,” she stated. “We understand the challenges and are working to safeguard youth interests. We have a young youth minister who is prioritizing issues relevant to young people. We are also working on the Student Loan Fund to ensure equal opportunities.”

She reassured young Nigerians that the Tinubu administration is attentive to their concerns and is making concerted efforts to create opportunities for them. “We are fortunate to have a president who is youth-friendly and recognizes the importance of empowering young people,” Abiola added.

She encouraged young people to remain engaged, actively participate in government initiatives, and trust in the administration’s commitment to addressing their needs.

During the event, a lecture on “Perspectives on Youth Development and Leadership” was delivered, emphasizing the need for young Nigerians to acquire relevant skills to prepare for leadership roles and contribute positively to national development.
