Professor Nentawe recently paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, to discuss potential collaboration between their offices. The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships in three critical areas: capacity building, logistics support, and peacebuilding initiatives.
During the discussions, both parties expressed interest in aligning their efforts with the Federal Government’s Skill to Wealth programme, aiming to empower youth and enhance national security through skills development and economic empowerment.
Professor Nentawe emphasized the importance of integrated approaches to peacebuilding and the need for robust logistics to support operational effectiveness within the defence sector. Meanwhile, General Musa welcomed the engagement, highlighting the value of partnerships that can bolster the Armed Forces’ capabilities and contribute to sustainable peace.
The visit marks a step toward greater cooperation between academic and defence institutions, with shared goals of enhancing Nigeria’s security architecture while fostering socio-economic development.
