Police Service Commission, PSC promoted 20 commissioners of police to the rank of Assistance Inspector General Of Police, AIG.
According to a statement issued by Ikechukwu Ani Head, Press and Public Relations, PSC, the promotion was announced on Monday, March 17th, 2025.
The new AIGs include,Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, CP Fom, Force Headquarters; Olalolu Adebowale Adegbite, CP Interpol FCID; Godwin Iguh Eze, CP SEB, FCID Annex Lagos; Chukwudi Chris Ariekpere, CP Taraba State Command and Commandant Police College Oji River;
Disu Olatunji Rilwan, CP Federal Capital Territory; Fasuba Akinyele Olabode, CP Special Fraud Unit, Force Headquarters;
Musibau Omolabi Ajani, CP Admin, FCID; Aliyu Abubakar Musa, CP Katsina State Command; Force Headquarters, CP Anti Fraud section FCID; Gyogon Augustine Grimah, CP Cross Rivers State Command; Olaiya Victor Mobolaji, CP Kwara State Command; The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman who is reported to be retiring on 30th March, 2025. among others.
PSC also approved the promotion of 19 Deputy Commissioners to the substantive rank of Commissioners of Police.

Okoebor; DCP Admin and Finance Force Headquarters; Ayodeji Faniyan; DCP Zonal CID, Zone 5, Benin,

The officers were considered and approved for promotion after rigorous examination and interactive interview facilitated by the Commission on Plenary presided by The Commission Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu.
