“Whoever purifies himself in his house, then comes to Quba Mosque and prays therein a prayer, will have a reward like that of ʿUmrah.” This hadith alone has inspired countless believers to make intentional visits to Quba, combining physical worship with a profound spiritual journey.
The reward promised for such a simple yet intentional act—making ablution at home, travelling to the mosque, and performing two rak’ahs—underscores the mercy and generosity of Islamic teachings. Scholars have noted that this reward is not symbolic, but a genuine equivalence to the merits of performing ʿUmrah, as stated by the Prophet ﷺ himself.
