Sanwo-Olu Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Empowerment at Project L.O.U.D Graduation

July 5, 2025 – Lagos, Nigeria

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering dedication to youth empowerment and innovation during the 6th & 7th Graduation and 8th Induction Ceremony of Project L.O.U.D (Lagos of Our Dreams).

The ceremony, held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Sanwo-Olu ICT/Skills Acquisition Centre located within Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, celebrated over 1,000 graduating youths and inducted 500 new participants into the initiative.

Represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Governor praised the achievements of the graduates, emphasizing that Project L.O.U.D aligns with the State’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ development agenda—specifically the pillars on Education, Technology, and fostering a 21st-century economy.

“Project L.O.U.D is not just a skills programme—it’s a platform to turn dreams into enterprises,” Sanwo-Olu declared.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, ESV. Wasiu Adebayo Olayinka, described the event as a significant step in Lagos State’s fight against youth unemployment and its drive to enhance entrepreneurship. He assured participants of the Ministry’s continued support in broadening access to marketable and sustainable skills.

The graduation ceremony featured impressive displays of talent in areas such as ICT, photography, fashion design, baking, and various crafts. Many beneficiaries shared personal stories of transformation, attributing their newfound confidence and income-earning abilities to the Project L.O.U.D initiative.

Governor Sanwo-Olu encouraged the graduating youths to become proactive ambassadors of the “Lagos of Our Dreams,” urging them to create value, uplift their communities, and contribute meaningfully to the State’s development.
