Saudi Hajj Minister Engages Umrah Operators to Review 1446 AH Season, Plan Ahead for 1447 AH

In a bid to enhance operational efficiency and pilgrim satisfaction, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, convened a periodic coordination meeting with Umrah companies and key stakeholders, including representatives from the Saudi Ministry of Tourism.

The strategic session focused on assessing the successes and challenges of the 1446 AH Umrah season, drawing valuable lessons that will shape preparations for the forthcoming 1447 AH season. The dialogue, marked by a spirit of collaboration, was part of the Saudi government’s broader efforts to refine pilgrimage logistics and ensure a seamless spiritual experience for millions of visitors from across the globe.

During the meeting, participants engaged in detailed evaluations of crowd management strategies, visa processing, digital infrastructure, transportation systems, and accommodation standards. Dr. Al-Rabiah emphasized the Kingdom’s continued commitment to improving the quality of services and ensuring the safety and comfort of all pilgrims.

“The insights from this session will be pivotal as we prepare to welcome an even larger number of Umrah pilgrims in the coming season,” the Minister noted. “Our partnership with private operators and tourism authorities is essential in achieving the goals of Vision 2030, which include expanding religious tourism and improving pilgrim experiences through innovation and coordination.”

Stakeholders were also encouraged to provide data-driven feedback, enhance customer service training, and adopt smart technologies that align with the Kingdom’s digital transformation agenda.

The meeting concluded with the establishment of joint task forces to oversee key aspects of the 1447 AH season planning, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s proactive approach to delivering world-class pilgrimage services.

This early coordination underscores the Kingdom’s unwavering dedication to positioning itself as the global benchmark for religious tourism and spiritual hospitality.
