Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the representative of Kogi Central, has announced plans to return to her legislative responsibilities on Tuesday after a Federal High Court nullified her six-month suspension from the Senate.
The court ruling, which came after months of legal challenge, restores her position as a serving lawmaker. Akpoti-Uduaghan, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organizations, took to social media shortly after the verdict to thank her supporters for standing by her during the suspension period.
In a video that quickly circulated online, she expressed relief and renewed commitment to her duties, signalling a fresh start to her legislative work in the upper chamber. The development marks a significant victory for the senator and her constituents, as she prepares to fully engage in Senate activities once again.
