July 10, 2025 | Maiduguri, Borno State — The Nigerian Army announced on Thursday the successful neutralisation of 24 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Borno State as part of coordinated operations between January 7 and January 13.
Major-General Edward Buba, Army spokesperson, reported that troops conducted multiple offensive patrols across the Damboa, Bama, and Chibok areas. The operations not only resulted in the elimination of insurgents but also led to the arrest of 72 suspects, the rescue of eight hostages, and the recovery of a cache of weapons, including AK-47 rifles, grenades, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) .
These efforts are part of a broader campaign aimed at degrading terrorist infrastructure and reclaiming territory once under insurgent control.
