SSS Seeks Court Order to Restrain Utomi from Speaking and Holding Rallies

The State Security Service (SSS) has filed a petition at the Federal High Court in Abuja, requesting an order to restrain Alex Utomi, the 2007 presidential candidate, from making public statements and holding rallies.

The SSS claims that Utomi’s recent activities and speeches, reportedly linked to the so-called “Shadow Government,” pose a threat to national security and public order. The agency is seeking judicial backing to curb what it describes as activities capable of inciting unrest.

The matter is currently before the court, and the SSS awaits further directives on the case. Legal experts say the outcome could have significant implications on freedom of expression and political activism in the country.

Utomi, a known political figure and activist, has yet to issue a response to the SSS’s application. The case continues to attract public and media attention.
