Students Mark International Day of the Boy Child with Courtesy Visit to NITDA

In celebration of the International Day of the Boy Child, students from Police Day Secondary School, along with their teachers and Commandant, paid a courtesy visit to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). The delegation was warmly received by the Director-General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, who took the opportunity to offer valuable insights on how young boys can distinguish themselves and develop into responsible men.

During the visit, Inuwa shared his perspective on the importance of self-awareness for young minds, emphasizing the need to recognize their inherent worth. He encouraged the students to set meaningful goals, aspirations, and dreams, highlighting these as key components in their personal growth and journey toward becoming impactful individuals. The students, who regarded the Director-General as a visionary leader, expressed admiration for his remarkable career and vast knowledge, seeing him as a source of inspiration.

In addition to the motivational session, the students were given an exciting tour of NITDA’s Computer Emergency Readiness and Response Team (CERRT) facility. This experience offered them a firsthand look at the agency’s cybersecurity infrastructure and operations, providing valuable exposure to the dynamic field of digital security. The visit was not only an educational experience but also a step toward encouraging the next generation of leaders to engage with technology and cybersecurity as they build their futures.
