Super Eagles Defender Ola Aina Pens New Three-Year Contract with Nottingham Forest –

Nigeria international and Super Eagles right-back, Ola Aina, has signed a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, committing his future to the English Premier League side until 2028.

The 27-year-old defender, who joined Forest as a free agent in July 2023 after leaving Torino, has impressed with his versatility, work rate, and consistent performances, earning the trust of the coaching staff and fans alike.

Confirming the deal on Monday, Nottingham Forest praised Aina’s impact, noting that his presence has brought depth and dynamism to the squad’s defensive lineup. Aina, who can operate as both a full-back and wing-back on either flank, featured in 29 Premier League games last season, contributing three assists and helping the club secure top-flight safety.

Speaking after the contract extension, Aina expressed his gratitude:

“I’m excited to continue this journey with Nottingham Forest. The fans, the club, and my teammates have made it feel like home. I look forward to achieving more milestones together over the next few years.”

Ola Aina, who began his professional career at Chelsea and had stints at Hull City and Torino, remains a key figure in the Nigerian national team, having represented the Super Eagles at major tournaments including the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and World Cup qualifiers.

With this new deal, Forest aims to build on a solid defensive core as they prepare for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
