Online piracy

Abuja, July 10, 2025 — The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) has formally requested collaboration with the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCCom) to strengthen efforts against online piracy, particularly concerning digital content distribution. In meetings held this week, NCC Director‑General Dr. John Asein emphasised the growing threat of unauthorised digital copying and urged cooperation on regulation, detection, and enforcement.
