FG Pegs 12 Years as Minimum Age for JSS1 Entry Nationwide
Abuja, July 25, 2025 – The Federal Government has officially set twelve years as the minimum age requirement for admission into Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS1) across Nigeria. This policy shift is aimed at aligning the nation’s educational system with global standards and promoting age-appropriate learning at the foundational level. Announcing the decision, the Minister
