OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi has expressed his delight after making his return to action following an eight-month injury layoff. The Nigerian international came off the bench to play eight minutes in Nice’s 2-1 defeat to Monaco on Saturday.
Moffi’s return was a significant milestone, having suffered a cruciate ligament injury in training during pre-season. He underwent a lengthy rehabilitation process, returning to light training in mid-February before joining the main team earlier this month.
The 25-year-old took to social media to express his gratitude, writing “Thank you, God” on X. Moffi will aim to build on his comeback, targeting more minutes as he bids to regain full fitness.
Nice’s next league match is against Nantes on Friday, and Moffi’s return will be a welcome boost as the team battles to secure a UEFA Champions League spot.
Since joining Nice from Lorient in January 2023, Moffi has impressed, scoring 20 goals and providing five assists in 52 games across all competitions.
