President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Sulaiman Adegunwa, the Asiwaju of Ijebuland, as he marks his 80th birthday.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Adegunwa as a long-time friend, a highly regarded industrialist, and a philanthropist whose contributions have greatly impacted Nigeria’s economy. The President joined Adegunwa’s family, friends, and business associates in celebrating this significant milestone, noting his profound influence on people and institutions that have strengthened the nation’s economic fabric.
Tinubu particularly commended Adegunwa, who is the Chairman of Essay Holdings and a former Chairman of Sterling Bank, for his extensive investments across various sectors that have fostered economic growth, job creation, and improved living standards. Adegunwa, the founder of Rite Foods Limited, which operates a major production facility in Ososa, Ogun State, has become a prominent figure in Nigeria’s industrial landscape.
The President concluded his message by wishing the revered Ijebu high chief continued good health and many more years of fulfillment.
