Tinubu Orders Troops in Katsina to Reclaim Every Inch of Nigeria from Terrorists

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has charged Nigerian troops with the crucial responsibility of reclaiming every inch of the nation’s territory from the grip of terrorists and criminal elements. He gave this directive during a morale-boosting visit to military personnel stationed in Katsina State on Friday, May 2, 2025.

Addressing the troops, President Tinubu praised their courage and sacrifices in defending the country and emphasized that the Nigerian government will not tolerate any loss of territory to insurgents. He urged the soldiers to remain unrelenting in their mission to secure the nation and restore full control over all parts of Nigeria.

“Every inch of ground you hold, every terrorist you neutralise, and every community you secure is a victory for justice, freedom, and the future of our children,” the President declared, reinforcing his administration’s zero-tolerance approach to insecurity.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the welfare of military personnel, announcing that his government would provide advanced equipment, improved logistics, superior intelligence support, and enhanced welfare packages including healthcare, housing, insurance, and allowances.

The visit comes at a time when security concerns remain high in the North-West and North-East regions, with renewed attacks from terrorist groups in recent weeks. The President’s remarks signal a renewed focus on front-line security operations as part of his broader national security strategy.

While interacting with officers and men of the armed forces, Tinubu pledged unwavering support to ensure that Nigeria does not bow to fear or treachery. “Let your resolve echo through every valley and forest. Let the enemies of Nigeria know their time is up,” he said.

The troops, visibly inspired by the President’s words, assured him of their readiness to carry out their mandate and restore peace across all affected regions of the country.
