July 2025 – Nigeria — In a successful joint operation, operatives of the Nigerian military and the Department of State Services (DSS) have rescued a kidnapped commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), apprehending three suspects linked to the abduction.
The NDLEA commander, whose identity remains undisclosed for security reasons, was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen earlier in the week. The coordinated rescue effort was carried out in a swift and intelligence-led mission following actionable leads provided by security sources.
The rescue operation, which took place in a remote location believed to have been used as a hideout by the kidnappers, involved tactical precision and minimal resistance.
