Abuja, Nigeria – September 11, 2025
The United Kingdom has not revised its travel advisory on Kaduna State, contrary to circulating reports suggesting a change from “red” to “amber.”
According to the latest update published by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) on September 2, Kaduna remains classified under the category of “advise against all but essential travel” due to ongoing security concerns.
Meanwhile, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has received commendations from President Bola Tinubu and local stakeholders for his administration’s security reforms and efforts to foster peace and development across the state. President Tinubu recently praised Sani for “restoring peace and stability” during a visit to Kaduna.
However, no official statement from the UK government has linked Kaduna’s security developments to any change in travel advisory.
