Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of government, alongside members of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, to intensify collaboration aimed at fostering a more conducive business environment in Nigeria. This appeal comes on the heels of his recent engagements at the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he championed Nigeria’s investment opportunities and advocated for deeper economic integration across Africa.
During his sessions at the global summit, Shettima not only highlighted Nigeria’s readiness to attract sustainable investment but also reiterated the country’s commitment to reforms such as subsidy removal, exchange rate alignment, and tax adjustments measures designed to stimulate economic growth and improve the ease of doing business. He emphasized that synergy among government agencies is crucial for translating these reforms into tangible benefits for investors and entrepreneurs, thereby enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness on the global stage.
Shettima’s call for unity among MDAs and council members is rooted in his broader vision for a resilient and inclusive economy. At various forums, he stressed the need for innovation in sectors like education and agriculture, and the importance of leveraging digital trade to unlock new opportunities for Nigerian youth. The Vice President’s message is clear: only through coordinated efforts and shared commitment can Nigeria build a business environment that attracts investment, drives job creation, and secures long-term prosperity for all citizens
