Istanbul, Turkey – June 3, 2025 — Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has clinched the 2024/25 Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot, capping a stellar debut season with Galatasaray. Osimhen netted 26 goals in the league, finishing five ahead of Krzysztof Piątek (21 goals) and six ahead of Youssef En-Nesyri (20 goals) .
This achievement marks Osimhen as the first Nigerian to win the Süper Lig Golden Boot and only the fourth African to do so, following Morocco’s Aatif Chahechouhe (2014), Senegal’s Mbaye Diagne (2019), and Gabon’s Aaron Boupendza (2021) .
Osimhen’s contributions were pivotal in Galatasaray’s triumphant season, securing both the league title and the Turkish Cup. In total, he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists across all competitions .
