WAHEB Conducts 2025 ND, HND Environmental Health Technology Exams at LASCOHET

Lagos, Nigeria – July, 2025 

The West African Health Examination Board (WAHEB) has successfully conducted the 2025 National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Environmental Health Technology professional examinations at the Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET), Yaba.

The rigorous assessment, which brought together aspiring environmental health professionals from across the state, is part of WAHEB’s annual effort to uphold professional standards and certify competent health technologists in the region.

Speaking during the examination exercise, officials from WAHEB commended LASCOHET for its preparedness, smooth coordination, and provision of an enabling environment conducive for the conduct of the national examination. They stressed the importance of the exam in ensuring that only qualified and adequately trained candidates are certified to practice in the critical field of environmental health.

The Provost of LASCOHET, Dr. Mubo Adedayo, lauded the students for their dedication and urged them to approach the exam with integrity and professionalism. She reaffirmed the institution’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and the continuous development of Nigeria’s healthcare workforce.

Also present were senior members of faculty, external examiners, and WAHEB officials who monitored the process to ensure compliance with laid-down guidelines and ethical standards.

The results of the exams are expected to be released in the coming weeks, paving the way for successful candidates to proceed in their professional journey as licensed environmental health technologists.

The examination underscores the collaborative efforts between regulatory bodies and training institutions in producing capable health professionals ready to tackle environmental health challenges in Nigeria and beyond.
