“We’re Making Agriculture More Attractive” — President Tinubu Highlights Sectoral Reforms

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that his administration is repositioning agriculture to be more appealing to Nigeria’s youth and investors, noting that “we’re making agriculture more sexy.”

The President made the remark while highlighting his administration’s strides in the agricultural sector, including increased investment in mechanised farming, improved access to credit, and initiatives to boost agro-entrepreneurship among young Nigerians.

According to him, transforming agriculture into a viable and desirable economic sector is crucial for tackling food insecurity, reducing unemployment, and diversifying the nation’s economy beyond oil.

“Agriculture must move from subsistence to commercial viability. We are committed to making it innovative, technology-driven, and rewarding for a new generation of farmers,” he said.

The statement was made during a recent engagement on national development, as reported by @politicsngr.
