The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has extended his condolences to the former Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, following the passing of his younger brother, Mr. Tyozenda Ortom.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Wike described the loss as a painful and deeply saddening event. He urged the bereaved family to find comfort in their faith, emphasizing that life and death remain within God’s divine control.

Expressing his sorrow over the unfortunate incident, the FCT Minister acknowledged the emotional toll of losing a loved one, especially a close family member.

“The news of the demise of Mr. Tyozenda Ortom came to me as a rude shock. I deeply understand the weight of this loss on my brother and friend, His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom,” Wike stated.

He further encouraged the Ortom family to remain steadfast, noting that while the loss is painful, solace should be taken in the belief that death is an inevitable part of human existence.

“On behalf of my family, friends, and associates, I extend my deepest sympathies to you in this trying time. It is my heartfelt prayer that God, in His boundless mercy, will grant you and the entire Ortom Adorogo family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
