Senator David Umahi, Minister of Works, extended warm Eid-Al-Adha felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on Sunday, emphasising the growing interfaith harmony under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
Receiving a delegation of Muslim community leaders at his residence in Abakaliki, Umahi described the visit as a symbol of continued peace and cooperative spirit among Nigerians of different faiths. He praised the evident atmosphere of religious tolerance within the Tinubu administration, saying it is foundational to national unity and sustainable development .
“The cordial interfaith atmosphere within the administration reflects a broader national unity that must be sustained,” the minister remarked, underlining that mutual respect across religion lines is pivotal in driving infrastructural advancement and economic growth .
Alhaji Danjuma Gambo, Hausa community leader in Ebonyi State, commended Umahi as a “true statesman” whose inclusive policies have earned him admiration across religious divides. Gambo highlighted the minister’s “consistent acts of generosity during festive seasons and his open-door policy” toward all faith-based communities .
The occasion reflected an official celebration of Eid-Al-Adha within Nigeria’s federal structure, showcasing how President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is reinforcing peaceful coexistence and interfaith collaboration across state leadership.
